I saw the display for this today in the store and it took me awhile to figure out if these were edible or not. They look so real you might want to eat them - but don't. These are just various sweet crafts (not treats) that you can turn into keychains or other gifts. I brought these home as a surprise to my 7 year old and we had a lot of fun making them for her friends as Christmas gifts. We just love how real they look! Very cool new product for the Christmas season!!

I bought this mainly for the cream to use with my other craft stuff. The bag was a little smaller than I though but I had a good amount leftover and a few fruit parts as well. The only thing I didn't like was that only 1 tart had a key hole to put the chain through. The rest didn't have it, so they can only be used as decoration or light paperweights. Overall, not bad for $10.

This set is supposed to come with two vanilla tart bases, one chocolate, and one strawberry. Unfortunately mine came with three vanilla tarts and one strawberry! It also didn't come with any rhinestones, just the weird silver beads. Besides that I thought there should have been more fruit and I don't think these American kits are as nice as the Japanese ones. But overall Whipple is a fun activity for when you have some free time.
I do have some tips- when you are kneading the Whipple for the first time, when you think you have kneaded it enough, knead it more! And don't forget to tie a rubber band or hair tie around it and keep the rubber band as tight as you can get it. Also make sure the room you use this in is well ventilated because I've found that the fumes give me a headache pretty easily.

This product appears to be a oddly (albiet clever) knock off of a line of japanese cabochan toys like Decoden, Decotti, Fuwa Fuwa..etc... although those sets are rather expensive and have to be imported they are rather life like (strawberries look like strawberries, orange slices look exactly like, you got it! orange slices!) Ive wanted a Decotti set for a while, but it just so happens I had passed by this set at work and wondered how similar it would be so i think i might try it out and then save up for the real one. Any who! being a cake decorating fan as i am it will be interesting to give this set a shot!
