Beautifully lithographed tin robots with plastic trim. Wind them up and off they go! Sold assorted and boxed. Decorated with unique Uglydoll art. Each one measures 4.5" tall. For ages 3 & up. Not as exciting as the dolls but fun!Jun 06, 2011

My daughter (18 months) was given this toy as a present.
She has been a fan of UglyDolls from her first months (she never wanted anything to do with cute stuffed animals: I think the bright colors, big eyes and easy shapes of Uglydolls are very attractive to babies).

This toy is quite different from the other UglyDolls things she has (big soft dolls and board books). I think this is designed for Uglydolls collectors or older kids. However, she immediately liked the toy and, one interesting thing to note: the wind-up mechanism is easy enough for those tiny fingers to turn! Even if she hasn't figured out how to make the robot walk, she likes the noise it makes.

The toy is light tin, two-pieces (a bit like an Easter egg!) attached together by a strip of plastic. It seems fairly durable but the tin will probably get dented once dropped many times. We have the green one; the Uglydoll illustrations are small and detailed. The wheels underneath are not very big and the toy does not go far on a full wind but that's a detail since my daughter seems to love it anyway!

I am not convinced on this one (it's probably a bit overpriced anyway) but from my daughter's point of view, that's another hit for Uglydolls!
