Great fun blaster for little shootersDec 25, 2010

"Philosopher King extraordinaire"
My 3 year old daughter always feels left out with her friends who have Nerf guns and dart shooters, but she's just not strong enough to use those for herself yet. When I saw this toy, and the fact it's an automated shooter, I realized it would be a great way for her to shoot at targets with her friends... not to mention her love of all things Buzz Lightyear.
I'm not a huge fan of gun toys, but my daughter loves knocking down targets with baseballs and tennis balls, so it was inevitable that shooting a projectile would come next. I liked this toy for allowing her to shoot at targets but not fully giving into the 'gun' idea yet -- plenty of years for that to come.
The gun shoots the foam discs fast and furiously and is great at knocking down the included targets, toilet paper rolls, and anything else we set up. My only complaint is negligible - it shoots the discs so fast that they fly everywhere! We just learned to create a more open area for play after several exhausting searches for wayward discs.
It's not the world's best toy, but it does what it needs to -- entertain, hold up to a 3 year old's method of playing, and (best of all) is fun!

The last guy needs to relax. Its just a fun shoot em up gun thats safe and those discs fly across the house! Not bad at all for 8 bucks. If you want your son to have a safe little hand cannon get this. The cat will never sleep again!

The gun works great and the disks are soft foam that don't hurt when hit by them. Not sure if they changed them to foam. The game itself is not that great, but the gun shots really good. the only issue is the foam disks tend to bounce far off things they hit, making them easy to lose. I been able to avoid losing the disks, but I can see how someone could. What I was able to do is make additional foam disks out of foam sheets you find at craft stores.

This is my son's first gun toy. He never showed an interest before and most of the toys are made for older ages. Teaches how to pull a trigger, aim, and search for missing discs. It comes with 12 of them and they fly like crazy. Lots of fun. Easy to understand and use.

I gave this to a friend's daughter for her birthday and she was thrilled. It's a simple game, really just target practice but Toy Story themed. After playing with the board for a while she switched over to hiding the cut outs around the room, or having other people do so, then shooting them, making for a more intense game.
