5Couldn't be happier!Aug 26, 2007
By Happiest Mommy on the block! "Eve"
My son LOVES the bridge and the sounds that it makes and now he finally has Bulstrode, which is a dream come true for him! I am so happy that they came out with this, because we did not need the whole "down at the docks" set, just an addition to what we currently have. =)

5Jackson and the LighthouseJan 07, 2008
By Jirka "Two Little Chicks"
My son wanted this Thomas toy badly. I was not keen on buying it after sending back a huge box of leaded paint toys just weeks earlier. I did however purchase it because he does not eat his toys being 3 1/2.

The set is nice and adds a great water feature to the train table. It is cheaper than the large dock set from T&F's. Much cheaper.

Good features:

The bridge stays up so that the child can push the boat over the water.
It makes a horn noise only for a second.
The lighthouse does make a bell noise with birds.
The lighthouse lights up.

Its a toss up. If your child loves T & F's its a great add on. If they are fly by night lovers, I would buy something less expensive.

5Great for all ages!Dec 26, 2010

I purchased this toy for my near three-year-old little boy as a Christmas gift. He loves it! I was apprehensive at first, because of the price, but we found it cheaper through another vendor here. When my son opened it he said "awesome" and we immediately added it to his set. He loves playing with Bulstrode and making the light go around. He mimics the noises as the carts pass over the bridge.

I wrote great for all ages because my fourteen-year-old nephew loved visiting with my son and they played for quite some time with this! I have to admit, I like playing with this too. The Thomas Wooden Railway is a great toy and this Light House is a must have edition!!!!

4Great fun and something different for the Thomas tracksJan 12, 2008

My 5 y.o. saw this in a hobby store and had to have it. I made him wait for Christmas and he was so excited when he received it for a Christmas present. He absolutely loves playing with it. We have to turn the lights off in the room so he can do the lighthouse light! It's especially meaningful to him since we spent Thanksgiving at the beach and visited so many lighthouses. The fog horn is realistic and even my 7 y.o. gets in on playing with it.

5great addition!Nov 07, 2010
By Karen M. Gorski
My "just 2 year old" nephew loves this newest addition to his Thomas train set. The lighthouse has both fog horn sound and seagulls. Plus, the working light -- a bit dim unless you turn the lights off in the room. Between pushing a "button" (the top of the lighthouse) to make the noises and being able to lift the bridge -- my little one is deeply engaged. Plus, it goes perfectly with his book, "Wave Hello to Thomas." There's a page where you lift a flap to open the bridge, but it was a bit hard for the concept to be understood on a page -- until he saw it really working-- and could manipulate it himself. I admit, I rather enjoy it too! Just be sure to turn the switch to off under the lighthouse. I didn't realize there was a switch, and the battery died overnight after only one day of playing with it.
