These little track extras are an essential for Thomas enthusiasts. They make joining up the track and making more variations to your track so much easier. They are easy to use for three years and some younger if they understand the concept of male and female connections. You should get these if you have more than one set. They also make a nice variation to the lengths of track available, you'll understand if you've tried to join the track and just need a little more length to piece the track together. 10 out of 10 for versatility and ease of use!!

THESE are the best frustration relievers for the track building mind storming process my son goes through.
Thanks to their color they are also very easy to spot in the stack of tracks when looked for.
One downside which may be an exception to the rule of these track's reputation for being undestroyable : on day 1 I accidently dropped one of the 2 of the set and the wooden middle part snapped in its center. However it's now fine, I glued back together and it holds.

This is great for creating complicated track layouts. My 3-year-old doesn't need it, but whenever his grandparents come to visit they amuse themselves making incredibly complicated layouts for his trains. Having this piece has made that process much, much easier!

These work great for filling in those little spots where you need the same connectors on each end, or you just need a straight piece that's shorter than usual. Works like a charm.

Our grandson loves to assemble the tracks and play with Thomas the Train but he gets frustrated, he's only two and a half, when trying to finish a layout and track pieces don't mate. He figured out the adaptable nature of these pieces on his own and now knows when to use them.
