Favorite Scrabble boardJul 29, 2010 My husband and I collect different Scrabble edition boards. We have about 10 different sets. This one is by far the best. The board has a turn table and is it's own box. Everything fits in one piece and you don't have to worry about loose pieces when you get the game back out. I love the pull out drawers. Great design!
A Great Scrabble BoardJul 17, 2010 Kinda funny how many people are upset about the color scheme. Oh well.
This is a great board. The indentations keep the tiles from getting out of control, the wheels on the bottom make it easy to spin, and the whole thing folds into one easily portable package.
Our only problem with it is very minor - the trays don't snap in super securely, so we've had them spill out a few times while carrying the board. Just make sure you're holding it level, or put a piece of scotch tape over the storage trays.
Great BuyJul 01, 2010 This is by far , the best edition that they have made! for use at home and for travel.
You can not go wrong with thius purchase.
Scrabble, the Diamond EditionJun 30, 2010 The plastic is pretty cheezy for the "classy" "diamond" edition.
The tiles are a different color than the standard so if you lose a tile, you can't just pull from an old game.
Ergonomically cool.
THE LIPS ARE GREAT! As they keep the pieces in place if you hit the board.
A great setJun 26, 2010 Bought this to have a game that the wife and I could play, or that we could play when we have another couple over for dinner or something. What I really like about it is that it's all self-contained in what appears to be a pretty sturdy, easily portable case. The letter tiles come in a nice felt bag, and there are two drawers built right into the game board that hold the tiles, the four tile racks and the instruction booklet. The case unfolds (held closed by magnets) to reveal a plastic grid with recessed squares for the tiles, so they don't slide around. Some purists complain about the change in colors or something, but it's all the same to me. The bottom of the case has integrated wheels that allow the board to spin in place, so you can rotate it from one player to the next.
At around $35, this is a very nice kit, for a great game.
