I recently bought this for my daughter's 12th birthday. It is a cute and unique addition to her sock monkey collection. I'm Ok with the size but I was shocked to see that all of the workings of the umbrella are PLASTIC! I've never seen such a thing. The handle, the rod, the mechanisms ... all plastic. I have no doubt that it will fall to pieces after the first few rain storms. Such a shame ... for that high a price, it should have been made better. Buyer beware! I give it one star for only for it's unique style - the quality is just sad.

This umbrella is very cute but not very durable and it is kind of kid sized so you still get wet. If I had've known I would not have bought this for myself.

I bought this for my friend who is in her 50's because she loves Sock Monkey items. She was so tickled to get an umbrella like this and can't wait to use it when it rains. It looks pretty durable as far as umbrellas go.
