Adorable & EducationalMay 24, 2010

I got this puzzle for my 3 year old niece. This puzzle is great and the quality is excellent. The pieces are 1/2" thick and the puzzle tray have matching images underneath each piece. My sister in law was telling me how successful my gift has been. I'm very satisfied with this product.

This is a really nice quality puzzle. The very cute & chunky pieces are painted on front, sides and backs (unlike Melissa & Doug's)- though the paint does tend to wear off around the edges. The castle-themed puzzle board has the pieces painted underneath, except underneath the cat in a window piece, there's a princess looking out the window and the piece with the queen waving from the coach has an inside view of the coach. I got this for my 2 yr old son's birthday, but my 4 yr old girl loves to play with it as well, even though as a puzzle it's way too easy for her- she just enjoys playing with the characters. The two of them also sometimes pretend that the pieces are cookies, so it gets a lot of play besides just putting the pieces on the board.
