My daughter loves the Smurfs and we needed to add Gargamel to our collection. She will play for hours with hers. I gave the overall "education" rating based on owning one of these figurines. I suppose it depends on the person and what they do with them to determine how much "education" you get from them. I consider creative play educational for young children, but gave the rating on the toy only. These small toys are not intended for children under 3!

I got this for my daughter because she had found a bunch of my vintage smurfs to play with. You really can't play smurfs without a gargamel. This gargamel size is great with the vintage smurfs but the newer ones that are on here or at stores or mcdonalds this gargamel is too small for. How can the smurfs enemy be smaller then them? I also wish he came with azreal. I remember they used to be sold together. This gargamel is still the best one I could find, the movie verison looks like the guy in the movie, and the other version is party gargamel which isn't really his personality so this one is the one I would get unless a better verison comes along.

I bought this for my son along with others on Amazon to make a small collection. The seller went out of his way to really protect the toy in the package, the only one so far and the toy was true to the picture. Good buy if you want a Gargamel to go along with the smurfs.

I have a grouch of a boss whom I nicknamed Gargamel. When he would get out of line I would show this toy to him. It would make him so angry he couldn't think of anything and would leave me alone. This toy has been a life saver.

"avid reader, Transformers and LEGO fan."
I bought this in the 6 pack set and was disappointed with the very soft plastic and slimy feel to the figure.
