Wonderdul add on to the Playmobil Vet Clinic! Worth the moneyDec 27, 2009

I purchased the Playmobil Operating Room as an add on to the Playmobil Vet Clinic and I am so glad I invested in this! The price, I think, is very reasonable given the amount of accessories you get with it and it really fits nicely with the Vet Clinic. I highly recommend this product since it really broadens play options when paired with the Playmobil Vet Clinic. I would also add that this product stands fairly well on its own in case you would not want to purchase the Vet Clinic.

Must have for the Playmobil animal loverOct 07, 2011
By mamiejane My daughter purchased this with her own birthday money. She has always loved playmobil. This set is incredibly detailed...even has a CT scanner and xrays. She sets it up next to the large zoo set and "takes care" of the animals.

Lots of small parts, but worth it!Aug 29, 2011

My 7-yr-old received this for her birthday, and it's a huge hit! She *loves* it. It's inspired hours of intense, imaginative play. She has expressed a desire to be a vet for some time now, and this is definitely adding fuel to that fire. She's become increasingly curious about animals in general and about vets in particular.
That said, I have to agree with a previous reviewer. There are a *lot* of small parts; the lose-ability factor is what prompted the four stars for durability. This is listed as 4 and up, but I would say 5 or 6 at the youngest, unless you save the small parts and just let them play with the big stuff for a while. There's been frequent knocking over of the little supply boxes and a fair amount of time spent searching for splints and casts on the floor. Deciding on one place to play with the set seems to have reduced lost pieces and also allows her free play without the restrictions that come with the presence of younger siblings.
I was also surprised at the amount of prep (assembly, stickers, etc.) that was required before she could play with the set. It's definitely not ready-to-play straight out of the box. The instructions were very clear, however. Easy, but not simple to put together. I think it took about ten minutes.
All in all, I think this was a very good purchase, and I'm sure we'll be adding more sets in the future.

Good playset but lots of small piecesFeb 18, 2010
By L. Smith The playset is ALOT smaller than I thought and I don't think it is worth [...]. My daughter likes playing with it, but she doesn't play with it much since she has a 1 year old brother.
