Breaks and is hard to useDec 05, 2011

We have (I should say "had") this product where I work. However, the top of the "Twirl 'n Twister" no longer attaches to the little spiral tube. Where the plastic is grooved to allow the lid to twist on has broken off. Also, I find it almost impossible to try to hold the lid down (which I have to do because the lid is brown and won't stay on by itself) to allow the product to twirl and push out the play-doh, so it isn't surprising the little plastic bits that are supposed to secure the top to the tube broke. And if I have a hard time making it work, the children I work with have an even harder time, and get frustrated.
Also, this product is very difficult to clean. Firstly, from the space where the play-doh leaves the pump, there is still about an inch until the play-doh is exposed. Thus, doh is pumped out, but you can't remove it because it still has to pass through this little small tunnel before it reaches the end of the open tip. I have tried to illustrate how it creates this odd tunnel thing (but the tunnel is the whole length of the tip (the --- marks), so it is longer than I "illustrated", play-doh is illustrated by the ====:

In addition, it gets stuck in the other "top" part of the twister as well (which you can't push out easily because of the aforementioned difficulties). The tip where the doh goes through the little holes should be flush with the end, having it go through an additional inch makes it more complicated and harder to clean.
The product is very poorly designed. Don't waste your time, this just frustrates a child.

I dont like this toy cause it doesnt work well. It makes poor twist is veeeery hard to clean... It keeps all the dooh inside it. Dont recomend.
