Don't mash your potatoes until you get "mash" on the spinner!Aug 29, 2011

I like this game - however, at first we could not figure out how to win! Initially we made the mistake of just mashing our potato whenever it landed on a mashing station - now we realize that you "wait" and if a player gets the "mashed " spot on the spiner, then you get mashed ( or not, if the player decides not to) . It's cute - we just wish that the instructions had been more clear.

It's fun but hard to winJan 22, 2011
By Marisa Franco This game is easy to play and understand. However, it's hard to win. Every time I play with my son, we always get smashed over and over before anyone can get to the end and win.

Fun for boysSep 15, 2011

My boys (4 and 5.5) really love this game. We've been playing board games a lot recently, and this adds variety. It is a plastic toy made in the 2010's, and the quality shows it. You have to wiggle the parts to get it to work and the crank doesn't stay on, but it's just part of the fun for us. The boys really like mashing the potatoes, but we talk about "making french fries" and "chopping up potatoes." It's more about cooking than the violence another reviewer mentioned. I was wary of keeping it (it was a present) but I'm very glad we did. I don't enjoy cleaning up playdoh, but this has not been a messy game. I hope this is helpful:)

4 yr old happy with low quality toyJul 28, 2011
By Shopper My 4yr old son has been wanting this toy for months and we just bought it on clearance. He is having fun smashing and rolling BUT the game isn't even worth the 5 buck I paid for it. The mash machine does not have enough power to cut the playdough and falls apart when we spin to activate the mash machine. And as previous poster said it falls off of the game board easily. We have not found it easy to win either. I am tempted to toss the mash machine and put down my own play dough toys so at least we get results. None of this really matters to my son, he is having fun destroying the machine with playdough. The only draw back for him is the fry maker part of the machine on makes 1 1/2 inch fries. I would not buy this again.

Cute and QuickMay 21, 2011
By mommyc Very cute, and quick to play. We found it easy to win, unlike the previous review. Yes, you smash your game piece, but you get to start again when you get smashed. He's been playing with it for an hour now (a long time for a four year old!) Only complaint is that the smash machine doesn't attach to the board very well and you have to stabilize it with your hand while you smash/crank the machine.
