A Play Doh Toy That Makes SenseMar 13, 2010

Let me go on record right now as saying that I am not a huge Play Doh fan. I love the concept of Play Doh, and will absolutely agree that my children love playing with it, but I hate cleaning up after it and I hate when my children mix colors together. Another thing that really annoys me are the toys that you can get to go with the Play Doh. Most of the toys that we've had either break apart quickly, are basically worthless to play with, or are both!
This one, however, was a bit different. We purchased it for Christmas and it got played with the day after. And the day after that. And the day after that. And if you have children, that should tell you something. Of course my children love the toy because it's simply fun to play with. Who doesn't love to make burgers and fries? And let me get sidetracked for a moment - the chip maker? Simply genius. Not only does it actually work, slicing chips beautifully, but it is also fairly easy to clean, which is a miracle in the world of Play Doh toys!
The only reason I gave this four stars is because some of the colors of the Play Doh I'm guessing would be difficult to find - like the dark brown for the burger and the light brown for the buns. But they can always make purple burgers and orange buns and label it alien food, so I'm not too worried about not being able to find the colors. All in all? A great Play Doh toy that even people who don't like Play Doh toys will enjoy.

Fun for kids of all agesOct 13, 2009

These food making toys from Playdoh really get the kids playing together and there are not that many toys that entertain them both. My son 7 and daugher 4 will make meals together and then serve them playing restaurant - so we break out the burger builder and ice cream shop and are served up some great food. It is a wonderful toy to keep them busy on cold or rainy days. The burger set is easier to make the food and there are some parts on the ice cream set that are hard for my 4 year old to do but she gets help from her big brother! Some parts are harder to clean but once the doh dries it all comes off easy...I will deal with this slight inconvenience for the fun it provides my kids!

This is my son's favorite toy, and it never gets old for him. He loves it!!! I love to see how it engages his imagination. You know----Kid's Love Play-doh!

my girls (5 and 3) had a great time making burgers with this toy. they used their imaginations & little hands to put together an exciting meal. it's a perfect toy to bring out on a rainy day!

This was a neat idea but it was SUCH a pain to get the pieces to stay together and the chip maker didn't work very well at all! My son used it once and that was it- total waste of money, hard to clean, took right to Goodwill.
