I bought three of these for stocking stuffers. They are super cute and they are good sized. I like that each one has a different kaleidoscope to look through.

So, my bad. I bought this because I thought I would get all three and I wanted them for stocking stuffers. I was also thrown off by the other review that pointed out that all three are different - that made me think they were a set of three, but I see now that the other reviewer said they "bought three". Just to be clear: you are buying ONE of these little wooden mushrooms. You do not get a choice of color.
Would I have paid $4.50 plus $5.95 shipping for a small stocking stuffer that is probably going to entertain my daughter for all of 2 minutes, if I had realized I was only getting one? No, I would not. In fact, if I had seen this in a store I would probably not have paid $4.50 for it even without the shipping. It's just not that exciting. I love Plan toys, and this is nicely made. But I can't see this providing much entertainment at all. It is not even really a kaleidoscope: there are no mirrors or colored glass inside. It is simply a mushroom with a plastic lens that has been cut to give a mildly interesting visual effect when you look through it.
I notified the seller (Hazelnut Toys) of my disappointment with the product and the customer service I received was phenomenal. The owner responded almost immediately to my e-mail with a courteous reply and a more than satisfactory solution. I have learned that the $5.95 is a flat rate shipping charge, which works out to be a very good deal on larger items. If you are a fan of well made beautifully designed wooden toys, you need to check out their website!
