I saw this toy at a friend's house and just had to have one for our 2yr old. She loves the little bees all by themselves and loves the game of pinching each bee just right with the pinchers and placing the matching bee in their hive. One previous reviewer indicated her toddler had problems using the pinchers b/c they wobbled, but i haven't seen this be an issue with my two year old at all. This is great for dexterity, color identification and a fabulous eco friendly toy.

I bought this item for my son's 2nd birthday. He is currently in a Montessori toddler class, and uses similar materials in the class room. He LOVES this item!!

Overall the toy is very cute and good for developing fine motor skills but, unfortunately, the tweaser is very wobbly and is difficult for my son to put the ends together even without a "BEE" in it's grip.

I have purchased many Plan Toys and generally have been very happy with them. The poor design of this toy, however, is mind-boggling. It is impossible to use the pincers without actually being pinched, regardless of how big or small your hands are. I find it impossible to believe this toy was even tested before being manufactured! When I complained to the company they claimed they would change the design, but they certainly did not offer any compensation for what is now something I cannot use. We still use the bees and honeycomb, but purchased an ice-cube pincer to use in place of the wooden pincers.
