Meh, not the best show lacing toyMar 27, 2012
By AmandaR This shoe is tiny. I knew that going in, but I thought it would be better for little hands to hold and try to learn. But the lacing is kind of odd. They use small loops of lace , which on the shoe we got, basically overlap. I cant really describe it well, but it makes for a frustrating experience for a toddler, and is nothing like lacing a real shoe.
You know what really teaches kids how to tie shoe laces? Their OWN SHOES!!!

Cute concept, small itemJun 14, 2011

My daughter has had a hard time learning to tie her shoes so I thought this would be a helpful toy. She started playing with it right away and it seems to have helped her with tieing her shoes so she was happy with it. My biggest issue with it is that it is to small (only a couple inches long, 3 inches max, 1.5 inches wide)and the shoelace came out. I thought the shoe was going to be a little bigger, closer to the size of a normal shoe. All in all it was a pretty good toy though because it still helped her learn to tie her shoes.

By Cat Bit smaller than I thought it would be for little hands. Overall sturdy product, great educationally, good bright colours. Always recommend Plan Toys, fantastic products all round.

teeny tinyJan 23, 2011
By Mel I thought this would be the size of a regular shoe but it's more like a little keychain size thing. The one's in the store are twice as big, this is a disappointment.

My eight month old grand daughter is a little too young to learn the tying, but was fascinated with every one's shoelaces. This and the Doug and Melisa one have helped distract her from the grubby human shoe laces. It is a little smaller than you would expect, but so attractive and well made. We all love it.
