Good for children under 18 monthsJan 18, 2009

I like Plan Toys, this one however is a little simple for my almost-2 yr old. Also, it tips forward fairly easy. I would recommend this product for a 1 year old with parent supervision.

Awesome Click ClackMay 07, 2009
By Heather Overkamp My kids have always loved larger versions of these at our local childrens museum, so I thought we'd give it a try. I gave it to my youngest for his first birthday. he loves it!! The balls move slowly enough that he is able to keep up with watching them travel down. The hanging bell doesn't do much - poorly placed at bottom. It tips over if he is rough with it- but is small and he can right it on his own very easily - and is learning to be gentle so as not to knock it over. My older two ( 6 & 3) also love this toy! They all paly with it together! It was a great purchase and a great price compared to similar modles.

not as expectedOct 19, 2010
By bengali bo we have other tracking toys for our toddler and we are always looking for new contraptions that make learning fun. This one was a disappointment. Maybe when we hit preschool it will be a better fit but I'm not sure it will hold as much appeal by that time. This product is wooden, which we like, and durable but not constructed as well as it could be. Like other reviews said, the ball doesn't hit the bell on its way down, it doesn't turn the wheel, and often (if excited) the ball falls off the track. But the biggest issue is that the "stand" isn't sturdy. It often, if not always, falls over when my toddler plays with it (we have to place it against the wall to use but that defeats the purpose). not really all it was cracked up to be. wouldn't by it again for that price but used or on sale it would be ok.

Cute, but worthlessDec 07, 2009

This toy is very sturdy, made with quality materials. However, the design is poor. If it doesn't sit just right, the balls will not follow the track. It falls over very easily. Completely worthless on carpet. Would be better if the base were wider. At least the balls are too big to fit in my daughter's mouth.
Plan Toy, FailureSep 25, 2010

This toy never stands on its own, and always falls over. The lever never works. We would not recommend this toy. We have several other Plan Toys that we love, but this one was a huge let down.
