Ahoy Captain!Aug 28, 2009 This product is far more complex to assemble than described. It is definitely a heavy duty toy. It promotes terrific imaginative play, We're not sure how long the sails/rigging will last but the ship itself seems indestructible. It was the most popular toy at the birthday party with adults and children all crowding around to play.

Awsomest Pirate Ship ever. EVER!Jan 05, 2009 How great can a gigantic wooden pirate ship be? Better than any before it! This MAXIM pirate vessel will not disappoint you. Heavy wooden construction, no cheap plastic parts, canvass sails and large figures 4.5 inch tall (aprox). Great kids toy. This is one I'll have for a looong time! If you're looking for a great toy for someone, especially if it's a toy boat, you have found it.

Moe's reviewOct 06, 2008 Just an awesome old school toy. I was going to build one for my son. Well this is almost what I would make but cost much less. The quallity is very good however just like any wood toy can break without respect. So not for all children. It can survive rough play just will need repairs that can be easly made if you have some creative ability. I see this staying in our sons room well after all the other toys go and our son is in collige. I'm sure he will remember his pirateing exploits every time he visits. Its great for girls too!

Ahoy there, mateys!Jul 12, 2008 Wow! This was a real challenge to put together - and I'm pretty mechanically inclined. It wasn't difficult, it just took a while. Nevertheless, it's a very well constructed toy (with the exception of the masts that screw together in the middle). We bought it for my daughter's 6th birthday and she loves it! It has wheels on the bottom so she can "sail" it all around the house (on the wood floors)...lots of room for imagination play. A little on the pricey side, but I think it's worth it.
