I bought this for a birthday present for a 6 year old girl who loves to play waitress. It was the perfect gift! She loves it! It is made really well, unlike most dress up clothing. The buttons on the front are for decoration, it actually has velcro closures so it is easy for a child to put it on themselves. I would definitely buy this again. The tray, the menu and the order sheet make this perfect.
Sizing - the birthday girl was turning 6 and average size and it fit her perfectly. My daughter is almost 4 and petite and this is way to big for her.

I got this for my daughter's 4th bday. She loves to play dress up. This waitress costume is so cute, and such good quality. She especially loves the dry erase order ticket and menus. All the Melissa & Doug costumes are great, we got 4 of them and they are her favaorite things to play with. I highly recommend this costume for anyone who has a little girl that likes to dress up or role play.

The Waitress outfit comes with a real pad to take food orders which the kids love. They have a lot of fun pretending they are a waitress taking someone's order at a restaurant. Very cute and good quality.

This is a nice quality costume. The menu and order ticket are both great with dry erase markers. The menu has pictures, word description, and a price. My 5 year old daughter has been copying the "food word" onto her order ticket, writing the provided price, and adding it up for a total. So, with a little imagination, this can actually be a very educational "toy". We also bought her toy food, that she serves on the tray that is included.
