We reserve this puzzle set for restaurant outings as well as for the car.
My 20 month old is great with these puzzles and also enjoys pulling each puzzle board out and trying to slide them back in again. It keeps my kids entertained long enough at the restaurant while we wait for our food. We also keep it in the car because the boards are small enough to hold in their little hands and because they only contain 4 puzzle pieces per board there are less pieces to search for under the seats when they get dropped or thrown.

These are small puzzles but not so small that it hinders children from playing with it - I actually believe it is easier for my 2 year old son to do the puzzles because of the size. He loves each puzzle that comes in this set and does them over and over again. It is great for storage at home or on the go - we recently took it to a friends house and he and another little girl played with the set all night. Love that the board has the pictures of the pieces so that younger children can learn to do the puzzle a little easier.
I would recommend this product for children older than 1 1/2, and definitely not for children who are still putting objects in their mouth.

We bought this for our (then) 2.5 year old to take on a trip last Spring. I thought it would be perfect for the car because of its small size. It was a bit of a pain though because the pieces are small and he kept dropping them and getting frustrated. It is cute that this product has its own little carrying box. It's pretty durable too - my son stood on it more than once! I was afraid the plastic window on top would break, but it never did. My son did play with it quite a bit until he lost some of the pieces.

I bought this for my daughter when she as 18 months old and starting to match things. Within a few weeks she could dump them all out and match them all. I was worried that because it didn't have the knobs she would have a hard time placing the pieces in their spots, but my concern was completely unwarranted. I love that this set has a rubber band cord that holds all the puzzles into their box. I take this box when I have to take my daughter to work with me and I never have to worry if any of the pieces with become dislodged or fall out. I love the pictures and the colors are nice and bright. None of the pieces will ever brake. They are thick and well made. I will certainly be buying more of these type of products.

I like that the puzzles are small. The size doesn't bother my daughter at all. I do not, however, like that some vehicles are missing. None of the vehicle puzzles seem to include all of the vehicles. I would have preferred to see a motorcycle, bike, car, train, and school bus than an entire puzzle of trucks. Other than that, the puzzles are cute and educational.
