I got this for my daughter to learn about making patterns in sand. She has done all but one and each one is a bit different. She has learned how to make the layers different and how to shape the layers as well. She has done a great job. This is something easy for her to do without much of a mess. What she does spill (which is little) can be vacuumed up. I would suggest this for those that have kids that like little crafts.

This is a classic and fun project. It shouldn't be too complicated to make a basic craft kit for this. Unfortunately, this one fails. There is not enough sand to fill all three bottles! (You have to fill them all the way to the top or they get messed up.) And one of the bottles would not even stand up, since the bottom is not flat. It tipped over while we were filling it and made a mess.

Liked that it had so many different colors of sand. All the tools included were very helpful. These are fun and easy to do. The kids love it!

GREAT for kids that are just starting out with arts and crafts. Its small enough and a great price to see if it will keep their attention. The price is great... We loved this, he listened so well and did not make a mess.. So I am buying a bigger kit!
