My 5 year old daughter saw this at the store and had to have it for her room. She couldn't wait for it to arrive and completed it that same day. It was just right for her. She was able to follow the instructions with very little help from me and ended up with a beautiful picture to hang in her room that she made. This is our new go to gift for her friends birthdays.
Mosaics for almost any ageMar 16, 2012

My 3-8 year olds love doing the Melissa and Doug mosaics. We have about 5 of them and I believe 3 of them are completed with 2 more being worked on. Some of them are more complex and some of them, like this one, a little simpler for the younger ones. I find myself doing them and enjoying them as much as they do. I put together the girl on this one last night and part of the unicorn, it is a lot of fun. I do mosaics with glass so it lets the kids partake in mosaics without getting messy, and still lets them be creative.

When my great niece opened this, she just wanted to stop and play with the stickers...a great teaching toy. Mommy got down on the floor with her and started showing her how to match the stickers to the right places. Not only fun but educational too. It doesn't get much better than that.
