My little girl loves art and princesses and this is a good combo of both items. The castle is sturdy wood to paint on and the paint colors are very girly and pretty.

This castle was fun for our whole family to paint. While some of the detail was small for younger kids (5 and under), there were still plenty of open spaces for them to run free with the paint. There was an abundance of paint to complete the project and there was plenty left over. It is a cute family-time project that did not take very long so everyone was able to stay focused and participated. Very solid item as would be expected from Melissa and Doug!

This item was a lot of fun for my 6 yr old. She enjoyed the painting & building the shawdow box.The instructions were pretty easy to follow & the box was very easy to assemble. I defintely would buy another one like it. Fun thing to do on a rainy afternoon.
Oh, and clean-up was easy,too!

My daughter wanted to give her friends a more expensive princess castle project as a party favor so I was very happy to find these color-by-number castles instead. They were a huge hit with her friends and their parents.
