Great noisemakersJan 18, 2011
By Mary Camelson My son LOVES this toy. Rattles, jingles, and clangs it. In fact, we bought it for him for Christmas because he loved the one at a friend's house so much. Great noisemakers. Family members were concerned that this would annoy me, but honestly, rattles and bells are not annoying. Electronic music from plastic toys IS annoying, and my son loves these more than the electronic toys anyway. Of course, he loves my cell phone and the television remote the best of all, but what can you do. My only complaint with these is that they are painted rather than stained with vegetable dyes (like some other wooden toys are), and my son has been able to chew off little bits of the paint if I am not careful.

love it!Aug 27, 2011
By egne0001 This toy is adorable. My daughter is only 9 months old (recommended for 18 mos)but i allow her to play with the sea instruments supervised and she loves them. I cant wait for her to get a bit older so that she can really enjoy them. Very durable as well.
Crab bell not safeMay 18, 2012
By Mama Bear I don't usually write reviews but I feel compelled to report my experience. My daughter has been playing with this toy for several weeks. She is 8 months, which is younger than the recommended age, but I didn't think it would be a problem. She just bangs the instruments. The Crab bell stopped ringing a while ago. I wanted to see why so I looked at the toy closely. The small metal ball inside the ball had dislodged and as I was looking, it fell out. I was glad it happened on my watch so that she didn't swallow it. I let the company know of the problem so presumably the crab will be getting a fix of some kind soon. The other toys in the set appear durable and risk free. Before this, I would have said that this is a great toy, easy to handle, colorful and fun.
good for younger babies, too!Apr 25, 2012
By Jennifer Day Not sure why the age ranges on toys lean toward the older end of the spectrum (liability issues, probably), but these instruments are totally durable, no small parts, and totally fun for my 7 month old daughter. i agree with a previous reviewer who said that bells and tambourines are not annoying; electronic songs from battery operated toys are. my daughter loves to inspect every inch of these wooden instruments, and she is particularly enamored of the soft-shell crab bell. so cute, and i can see her having fun with these as she grows and can identify the creatures and colors and etc.
adorable instrumentsMay 28, 2011
By S. Rivera I wanted some really cute wooden instruments for my son and these are perfect! They are a perfect size and very durable. My son is only 7mo right now and just wants to chew on all of them but im sure he will love them jst as much when he is older and able to use them for their purpose. I think they are worth every penny.
