I love the stamps and am excited to use them. I am not happy that the ink pad doesn't work at all. I was so excited to use it as soon as I received it in the mail but can't until I go buy another ink pad.

My ten year old grand daughter loves making her own greeting cards and combining the favorite phrases with her art work.
If you purchase this set for an older child like I did, get an extra stamp pad with more colors.

My 9 yr old daughter received this as a gift,and loved using it to put on the back of thank you cards. She absolutely loves it! Also a great way of reminding kids to use manners, be thoughtful & kind while still communicating by snail mail. Using these stamps have helped her pass the time and kept her quiet AND smiling while creating positive thoughts.

I have two small children, 4 and 6 that just love this stamp set. We purchased two additional stamp sets and they are equally good. The stamps are very durable and easy for them to grip with their little hands. The stamps are rubber on the stamp part and the tops, or handle, is made of wood. Each stamp set came with their own pad, so if you purchase multiple stamp sets you'll have plenty of stamp pads to go around. They come in a nicely made wooden box to store them in, the only thing missing is a lid for the box which would have been nice. There is extra space in the box that you can store extra stamp pads if you buy extras. I definately recommend buying these stamp sets.

My daughter recently ordered this stamp set for my granddaughter and complained that the ink pad included was dry. She had to buy another ink pad. So, when I decided to order the same set so that my granddaughter could use it at my house, I checked the ink pad immediately. I was disappointed to find that the ink pad was dry and cannot be used. We love the stamps and do not want to return them but would like to have the option of getting a replacement ink pad. I checked all the options on the Amazon website and that option was not available. It is either return everything or nothing. Based on both order having the same problem, returning does not appear to be of any help.
I am a very good Amazon customer. I have placed 6 orders in the last 30 days. I did not realize that this would be a problem that gives so little options. I will have to reconsider when it comes to ordering things that could have potential problems.
I guess my next step is to contact Melissa & Doug to see if the options are any better.
