I know this item is meant for 4 to 6 year olds, but I ended up purchasing this for my 3 year old niece.
Since, I knew this was a foam tiara - I took a gamble on it. My niece has been into the whole princess/dress up faze and I thought this would be perfect for her and my sister to do together, since they like crafty items.
My niece put the stickers that came with it on the foam tiara, but they just kept falling off and not wanting to stick. Since, the child was doing it, that may have been why they weren't sticking all that great (since touching anything sticky causes it to not stick so well) - so take that into consideration. You also may want to fix up the the glue glitter gel yourself, as it's too messy for a 3 year old. It also takes a while for the glue to dry, which causes anticipation in the child and of course they don't want to wait and want it right away, so be sure to get their attention else where until it does dry. LOL
Also, make sure you put it out of reach or their hands are going to be a mess, as well as the item and whatever you placed it on. But thankfully it comes right off. =)
It's pretty easy to get the colored glue to smear if you don't know how to handle squeeze bottles too, which makes the end result, not so pretty for that little princess of yours.
I wished the item was something other than foam, but what can you do when you need something bendy that goes on your head?

I got this for my 4 year old's birthday and she LOVED it! It was the perfect distraction on a gloomy rainy day. Instructions were simple and it has held up for several months now. Great craft for the price!

Purchased for my 3 yr old, I had to help her be patient with using it. I bought it for the fun of making it which is good because she does not play with the finished product, she LOVED making though!

My girls have had two sets of these. They enjoyed decorating them, and they last a lot longer than the plastic tiaras. They have letter stickers too so your princess can spell out her name. Takes a while to dry (at least overnight) the glitter jelly so you have to put them up where they can't be touched until they are ready to go.

I got this for my three-year-old niece and I think it was probably a waste for someone so young. It held her attention long enough for her to put all the stickers and jewels on in random locations, then she handed it to her mom and moved on to something else. I doubt she will ever wear it or use it again, but she had fun with it those five minutes.
