I am a HUGE Melissa and Doug fan. They manufacture solid toys even the casings are made from wood, we save the wooden trays for our 5 year olds whatnots. My five year old granddaughter loves decorating these type of projects. Whenever she sees a new one, she is super excited. I enjoy this because she is able to utilize her creativity and get out from in front of the TV. In fact she prefers working on these to TV. I will keep purchasing Melissa and Doug as I have yet to have to throw away items because of broken parts after being played with.

This was purchased as a gift for a 5 yr old girl. She loved it and has a lot of fun painting and placing the jewels on the little box.

Much smaller than I expected but kids really enjoyed decorating the boxes. They were thrilled to create their own little jewelry box. Just check the size before u buy.

I got this for my 4 year old, she wanted a jewelry box for necklaces and rings...this was perfect for her, she loved painting it and decorating it, it has held up beautifully.
