Unlike all our other similar Melissa and Doug kits...this one is for kids OVER 8. The paint is a more dodgy acrylic of some kind and is a disaster for 4-6 year olds. I didn't read the age guide on-line. This is one of their only figurine painting kits that is not recommended for kids under 8....kinda silly since so many young kids are in to dinosaurs.

I guess I should have read about the product a little more. The size is very small. But it was cute and fun for my boys ages 6 and 9.

I gave these to my son for Valentine's Day. I painted them for him. They are very cute. He has them on a shelf in his room.
