 Great little painting toy.Nov 23, 2010

My daughter loved painting this. She thought it was neat to get to paint on something other than paper. The only problem with this, is that there isn't much to do with it after you paint it. My daughter keeps it on her desk, but it does nothing and she never plays with it or anything. This did keep her occupied for several hours while she was trying to make it perfect.

A great little craft, but I'm glad I got this when it was on sale for $5, because it's not worth any more than that. It is VERY small. The house itself is only about 3" tall.

i ordered a bunch of these along with the melissa and doug train paint set and the kids loved them
instead of putting a lot to junk candy in the grab bags for my daughter's b-day celebration at school, i put one of these craft toys in each bag
the girls loved this cottage, the wooden girl and the wooden mirror (when i ordered i couldn't get the amount i needed in the same design) and the boys
just loved the train paint set.
i'm going to do the same thing for my little son's b-day celebration as well

We bought this at a discounted price when a local toy store went out of business. Our daughter really enjoyed painting it, and took her time with it. It's fun that you can decorate both sides too. The stickers work well and stay on. She loves to use it for imaginary play with her fairy dolls, and can be used with wooden blocks to create a fun town.

I bought this for my 3.5 year old daughter. I opened the paints, handed her the brush and let her go to town. She had a great time!
After the paint dried, she put on all the stickers.
As one reviewer said, yes it's a hunk of wood. But my daughter really enjoyed this project because it's different than other arts and crafts projects we've done. She loves the house and still has it, even though there's nothing much to do with it any more. She likes looking at it and talking about how pretty it looks.
