This is very deceptive because of the product dimensions given in the description which are 5.5 X 7.5 inches. Apparently this is the dimensions of the box because the actual chest is only 3.5 X 2 inches. It is so tiny that it is not good for much. I trusted the Melissa and Doug name which I regret! It would be a good buy at the dollar store but not much more than that.

This box allowed my child a fun, creative activity that she could do all by herself. She is 2 1/2 and loved the creative outlet. I was surprised by the size of the box. Not sure if I missed the dimensions, or if they weren't available, but this wooden box is very small, maybe large enough for a few tubes of Chapstick or other very small items. The picture made it look much larger than it is. It did its job though, allowed for a creative outlet for my daughter.

This is very cute and my daughter had a lot of fun painting it.
The nice thing about this is that you can paint it a little at a time. I saved the packaging and we have taken it out a couple times to paint and decorate it. I will recommend you make sure they keep it on the mat since the paint doesn't just wash off especially if it was hidden under the mat.
I definitely recommend this to anyone that has a child that enjoys being creative. The box is small (2"H x 3 1/2"W x 2 1/4" D) like someone else had commented but to my daughter it didn't really matter. She just liked being able to do what she wanted and make something of her own.

I purchased several of these as an activity for my daughter's 7th birthday party. They kept about 6 girls entertained for quite a while which was the intended purpose. The boxes are cute but very small (which I knew beforehand) - just big enough for a couple of tiny trinkets but that didn't seem to bother any of the girls. Overall a good value and good entertainment.

...it's VERY small. I guess I expected it to be at least 2" x 2" larger. The presentation of the box is very nice, but it would probably be more worth it to go to a local craft store or a Walmart to buy the supplies. What comes in this box puts limits on creativity, as there are only 12 sticker jewels and 1 color of glitter paint. That said, it's still very cute, and I'm sure my sister will still enjoy it.
