gave this to my friends daughter (6 years old) for Christmas and out of all the wonderful things she received this was the one item she wanted to open right then!!! She was able to handle the project all on her own and was very excited to use it but it had to dry first...
It is not messy just needs some newspaper underneath in case.
would make a great rainy-day project to pull out or birthday party craft/favor.

I wish I had read the reviews before buying this. I, too, bought it on sale and I'm sooo glad I didnt' pay $20 for this mirror. The colors are pretty, but it is SMALL. I bought it to decorate with my daughter and hang in her room, but it is only about 4 inches wide IN TOTAL. The mirror part is about 2 inches across. She can't even see her whole face in this mirror. They really need to list the dimensions in the product description. I might have rated it higher if I didn't feel so duped by the size. I can't use this item for the reason that I bought it.

When I saw this on sale for $5 with an original price of $20, I was really excited! I bought 2 thinking I would give them for birthday gifts. I expected them to be a little bigger than they are (especially with a $20 value). The mirror is about the size of my palm! I thought I was getting a great deal at $5, but actually, I got exactly what I paid for. No way would I say this is worth more than $5! The activity is enjoyable, but you can get a cheap toy that is just as much fun at the dollar store or a craft store for a couple of dollars. Maybe this is why the dimensions of this product were left off of the description! If it's $5, buy it, if it's more, you'll be disappointed!

This was a gift for my daughter. The mirror is small, but it's perfect kid-size. I don't have a problem with the size of it, but unfortunately the jewel stickers do not stick to the product. I had to secure them with glue, because they fell off. But, my daughter really enjoyed decorating this and she plays with it often. I would recommend having glue handy though for when the gems fall off --- or apply the glue before they do :)

My husband and I purchased a bunch of these for our Christmas toy drive at church. We thought it would be a great activity for little ones to do with their family...make it, then play with it. Also gives the kids something to do and a creative outlet. It also gives them a sense of accomplishment. I think this little kit is adorable, not overpriced (at least the sale we got!) and would be great for a little girl to have. We also bought a couple other themes. And would purchase again!
