The handle broke in 5 minutes. The handle was made of rotted wood and it broke after 5 minutes of use by a three year old.

I bought this for my son and he is having a blast raking grass and leaves, smoothing out his gravel pile, and chasing around our poor pets. I gave it 5 stars for fun because he also has a radio flyer wheel barrow that makes his "work party" complete. It has received several beatings from him slamming it into our clay, rocky dirt and who knows what else but it has remained intact and the prongs are still in their original shape. Some of the paint is beginning to chip off of the metal and will soon warp from the wood handle but that's expected because it isn't made of plastic like similar toy products. I gave it 5 educational stars because of the affiliated motor skills, if used properly and for multiple purposes. If your child enjoys being outdoors and working, "or just shifting things from one part of your yard to another," this is an essential product to have.

We have been looking for a little rake for our daughter for a while now so that she can rake leaves with us in the fall. This one was the best price, best quality and very cute! It's the perfect size for our daughter and very affordable. I would highly recommend this rake

I purchased this item to go with the other Melissa & Doug Sunny Patch gardening items for my daughter's 4th birthday. She loves to help her daddy in the garden and I was hoping these tools would be durable. So far, after much use in the garden and yard, this rake has proven to be very durable. It is the perfect size for a little kid, is lightweight enough for a child to use, but sturdy and well made that it can actually rake and not fall apart. A great purchase that I would highly recommend for your budding gardener!
