only over bridge, not underJan 07, 2011

This bridge is both colorful and durable (it's very easy to open the drawbridge and close it securely, even for my 2 1/2-year-old) but the blue slab of wood at the base of the bridge makes it impossible to set up tracks so that trains can go under it. It seems to me it wouldn't have been that hard to simply engrave track grooves on the blue base so it could link up to the rest of my son's tracks.

The design seems on the cheap side and when the bridge is down the track does not line up and the trains do not cross easily. This was a problem out of the box. After a child plays with the bridge going up and down a few times the problem is much worse.

I have purchased an enormous amount of trains and tracks and accessories for my grandchildren to build at my house. They can build all around my den and down the hall. This was a really good investment. This particular item was a really good addition.
