pretty disappointingFeb 14, 2009
By liza e I was very excited to get this for our 3 yo. However, it's pretty disappointing. The concept is good, but it doesn't really work well. E.g., there is a hammer but it can only be used in a very limited way on the bench. Also, the bench is designed to come apart and reconfigure, but that is a much more complicated task than the age for which the tools are designed. Other than that, not much can be done with it, because basically any use of the tools means that the bench will come apart. Also, the 3 tools it comes with are very abstract looking, which is cute, but our child did not recognize them as a hammer, wrench, and screwdriver without our help. Overall, a poor design. I'd take a look at the newer workbench they have--it seems like a better design.
Great for kids who love the build things!!Dec 09, 2009
By Lindsey Ruth My daughter is 5 and LOVES this toy! She has taken it apart and put it back together atleast 20 times over the last 6 months. I do agree with the other poster who stated that once it's together there really isn't much it does. The tools are pretty abstract but if your child loves to take things part and put them together this toy is great!

what is the pointMar 11, 2011
By Kristine M. Hanson Once the toy is put together, my toddler has nothing to play with. All of the screws are used to keep the bench together. the tools are cute, but what is he supposed to do with them?
