Bought this as a Christmas toy for my 8-yr-old son so he could play with his action figures on it. He LOVES it and plays with it almost everyday. It is made of solid wood and, overall, is sturdy. The branches do come out occasionally but go right back into place (I believe it is made to disassemble easily if needed). The tree arrived quickly in the height of Christmas-buying rush and was easy to put together. I would recommend that the seller package it in a box that does not have the picture of the contents on the outside. I was lucky my son was not present when UPS came or he would've known what Santa got. A much better deal than the larger, Melissa and Doug version. Regarding play-time, this toy has outlasted all of the high-tech toys and video games that require electricity, batteries, expensive game cartridges etc. Siblings (2, 9 & 12) love it as well. And they have to use their imaginations - how about that for a novel idea? !???!! Good 'ole old-fashioned toy!

My son received this for his 5th birthday. He has played with it on and off for almost a year. It is very easy to put together and seems to stand up to normal playing. The pulley with the attachable bucket seems to be the biggest hit. We have actually taken the leaves off so that you can play on the top floor better. The branches have wire in them so you can shape them some what to how you want it but for him they were still in the way. Great comparable to the much higher priced one and that one has also been discontinued. I would definately recommend!!

Great item.Well made but some of the feet came off of the dolls. Actually too sedate for energetic 5 year old boy but would be perfect for a girl or less active boy. Perhaps a younger child but has received very little play for my 5 year old grandson. It is still cute and good concept.

We got this for my son who is almost 7. He has autism and loves it, especially the pulley system that raises the bucket. Easy to put together and seems pretty well made.
