Purchased this lego set for my 7 year old son. He loved creating the boats and even invited his little sister to play as well (how unusual!).... I love all legos usually as they seem to stay together a lot better than mega blocks. We will always go lego brand!

Gave this to my 7 yo for his birthday a couple of weeks ago. He had seen it in a store and really wanted it...hard to find, though, as it seems that the World Racers line may have been discontinued (at least that was what someone at Toys R Us told me). Anyhow, he put it together himself over a series of days...and really enjoyed it. I love how it gets him focused on detailed work...and he is to the point now where he can put together all but a very few pieces.

This was the FIRST Lego product purchased for my grand-daughter...she is 8. The instructions are detailed and she whipped the first racer together in no time...bear in mind, this product comes with only ONE base, you must build the second one...The interchangeable parts let her create outside "the box" for more enjoyment.Having seen the multiple parts, I can identify with "lack or product" for the sheer number of parts. All in all, we are very pleased with this "puzzle".

got this for my son who sayed "wow it looks like grandpas air boat"
lol not really but hey all in the mind of a child
great fun and the new modular instructions break it down so younger kids can handle it very well
also they (my daughter loved it to) liked the gears that made the prop turn
only complaint was the ring that goes around the prop on one boat was a cheap plastic tube that kinks easily if bent too much by the child
