3A nice collectable.Apr 08, 2012

Neat little piece for Christmas or just to sit on the desk. Easy to put together, though a bit flimsy, even for legos.

These little things are honestly some of my favorite Lego SW sets. The stand and nameplate look super sharp and the scale is just large enough to have an interesting model. The Advent Calendar micro-scale sets were a little silly, but these sets manage to be attractive at a $10 price point. I'd buy a whole fleet of these if they'd make more!

1 Death Star, 1 TIE Fighter, and 1 (smiling) TIE Fighter Pilot with Stand/Plaque.
Fast build (10 minutes), 65 pieces (came with 2 spare Lego pieces).

You can hang the Death Star and the TIE Fighter can swivel on the stand. TIE Fighter Pilot comes with 1 blaster.

Probably the cheapest (non-functional) Death Star you could purchase.

5Great for my desk!Feb 29, 2012

The kit is small and quick to assemble for an adult such as myself. It's not very challenging, and unless you're the type who can "woosh" it around (or make that sound a Tie Fighter makes) for hours on end and have epic space battles, there isn't much playing to do.

The stand, however, makes it great for putting it on my desk, and the Death Star comes with a stand so it can sit on a surface, or a hook so it can hang (like I have it hanging with paperclips from my desk lamp.)

Overall it's a fun collectible that you can enjoy without breaking the bank, even if it is a bit small.

4For the Death StarFeb 23, 2012
By tvtv3 "tvtv3"
For STAR WARS fans, the main interest in the LEGO STAR WARS TIE INTERCEPTOR AND DEATH STAR isn't for the Legos to build the TIE Interceptor or for the cool little Lego TIE Fighter Pilot, but the little Death Star that is included. The Death Star in the Star Wars movies is amazing. When I was a kid, we imagined what it would be like to have a toy Death Star to go along with all our action figures and vehicles. It was agreed upon that it would be a massive playset and that we would probably all have to chip in to purchase. As far as I know, they never made an actual Death Star playset. If they had, it would have cost a ginormous amount of money: the real Death Star has recently been estimated that it would cost $852 quadrillion to build and a couple years ago Lego did issue a Lego Death Star, but the purchase price was around $400. So, when a smaller replica of the Death Star becomes available for such a reasonable price, it's an item that STAR WARS fans will want. This LEGO STAR WARS TIE INTERCEPTOR AND DEATH STAR doesn't just include a miniature Death Star, the Legos needed to construct a Lego TIE Interceptor, and a Lego TIE Fighter Pilot, but a stand to place the finished constructed vehicle and figure upon to display.
