Simple, Sturdy, Fun, Educational, Not too hard to buildMar 03, 2010
By R. Ferguson If you look at my past reviews you will find that I'm a fan of these little Technic kits; I find they make great toys and gifts, even for children who are younger than the specified age range. With young kids, you may need to guide them through the build, but this is really a great opportunity to help teach them about turning a plan into something real. It is a good spatial reasoning exercise. The models typically exhibit only one or two interesting mechanical principles, but they are simple, sturdy, and easy for little hands to manipulate. This kit has a long lift arm that has the nifty trick of keeping its pallet load level. I hope the kids notice it and figure out how it works! The model is not terribly difficult to build, and because it is held together with pins, it is less prone to parts popping off as occurs on its brick-built cousins. This is a small vehicle, not even large enough to hold a Lego mini-figure, but this never seems to bother my kids. Finally, this kit was introduced as part of Lego's 2010 line and it is among the least expensive of their Technic kits. Lego only produces one or two of these small size Technic sets each year.

Technic Legos are a hit for my 8 year oldMar 18, 2011

Recently, I purchased this Lego Technic set and a Lego Technic helicopter set. My 8 year old son loved them! He loves the moving parts and the Technic Legos seem to hold up to play better than the regular Lego sets. We are very pleased with the Technics and will be buying more in the future.

basic technicSep 21, 2010
By chuck07 A very basic technic lego but was good for introducing son to how gears work. Was simple for son (7) to do on his own.
Fun lego set you can build multiple waysDec 28, 2010
By Robin M. Persson My 6 year old was so excited to receive this for Christmas. You can build a loader and a motorcycle with a side car with this set. I like how there are movable parts and how the pieces work together. The finished product is seemingly more durable than some of his other lego sets. Great play value!
