A police officer chasing the bad guy; works for me!Dec 27, 2009
By Lego Maniac 101
"C.P.H."
I picked this set up because it was cheap and it had some cool figures. This set comes with one Space Police officer which has a very detailed printed torso and legs. The Officer also has a cool double sided head with one side being a happy/confident face and the other being an absolutely terrified face. He is equipped with a black helmet and visor. In addition to the officer this set comes with one awesome Squidman figure which has a detailed printed hard plastic head and a very detailed printed torso. He also has a red cape and one stolen hundred dollar bill. The Raptor (the officer's vehicle) itself is an extremely simple build but when finished it looks very sleek and fast. Here are the basics of the set:
The good things
Officer Squidman Raptor Hundred dollar bill
The bad things
Stickers No weapons No handcuffs
Over all, I highly recommend this set.

Awesome set!Sep 27, 2009
By c2 You have to get this toy! It's one of those smaller sets and probably cheaper elsewhere (about half), but nonetheless, if it's gone already from your store, be sure to grab this one. It's probably one of the most durable Lego sets we've ever purchased. It even took being slammed up against a wall without breaking! Great toy, tons of fun - good ole' Squiddy's cape even comes packaged separately. Love that detail! This series is super cute anyway, and cool and is highly loved in this house. It's nice also that it contains two of the figures with this smaller set. Highly recommend!

By M. Amidei This is a fun little Lego set. We are happy to add it to our Lego collection. My son especially loved Squidman.

Super new series!Sep 21, 2009
By c2 Wow, are these ever neat! This was the first Space Police set to arrive in this house and was very highly anticipated. This set is very durable, doesn't take too long to assemble, but it sure does provide for tons of fun! The squidman is particularly funny - I really like these aliens over the Mars Mission series. They're just full of more character. Plus, they have a cape - does it get any cooler than that?! Anyway, this set is extremely durable for play after it is assembled and even works right in with the Mars Mission series. However, this price is very high - you can get this in town for about six bucks. Highly, highly recommend!

Great starter set for the Space Police lineJun 14, 2010
By Justin Gaines After trying a couple of Lego City sets, I decided to see if my son would enjoy something from the Lego Space Police line. The Squidman's Escape set was the least expensive of the bunch, so we gave it a try. It's essentially a small single-person spaceship with a pair of minifigures - a space policeman and an alien villain.
Complexity: My son is only 4, but he was able to at least help build this little spaceship. There isn't much to it, so it took about five minutes to assemble. He, of course, assembled the policeman and Squidface minifigures.
Playability: This was a huge hit. I didn't expect such a tiny set to keep my son entertained for so long, but he keeps coming up with new storylines for the characters and ship. The little money piece and the reversible head for the policeman (now he's happy, now he's angry) are his favorite parts of this set. The ship itself is surprisingly durable considering the movable parts (handlebars, rear section, hood).
This simple little set turned out to be a big success. My son and I are both looking forward to the next Lego adventure.
