My 9 year old boy loves lego, therefore the 6 year old loves it too. They both have the Lavatraz, and other than building it, they both play with it too. Great purchase for both ages, and now they don't fight over the set.

My daughter wanted this set very much and every store was out of almost all the LEGO Power miners stuff. I ordered this and it came in quickly. Go AMAZON. Wooo!!

From 9 year old boy that tried to play with it...
This Lego set is not fun at all. The claw does not grab the giant rock monster at all. The sides fall apart at the slightest touch. I am constantly putting it back together when trying to play with it.
It is so frustrating that this does not even grab the monster ugh...

This was a gift for my grandson who is 8. He loves Legos and has completed many of the other sets quickly. He was very happy with it. He can work on it over spring break and hopefully it will take him more than a day to do so.
