A crime wave has struck the Lego City. Scruffy-looking criminals have been breaking into ATMs throughout the city (and probably jaywalking as well). Fortunately the brave members of the LCPD are on the case. These are their stories.
OK, maybe it's not that dramatic, but how much fun is this new Lego City police minifigure set? While it includes an ATM and small ATV, this set is mainly about the cops and robbers. You get a pair of police officers (armed with flashlight and handcuffs, but no guns) and a pair of crooks (with crowbar and loot bag), plus a police dog.
Complexity -This set has 57 pieces, and most of them are the minifigure components. My 5-year old son assembled everything on his own, working from the instructions, in about 10-15 minutes. The ATV was the most complex thing, and even that was pretty simple.
Playability - The sky's the limit. You've got everything you need for endless cops and robbers stories, and these minifigures are very easy to incorporate into the larger Lego City sets.
Sometimes it's the simplest sets that are the most fun, and this Police minifigure set is one of those sets. My son had a terrific time assembling and playing with this one, and I'd consider it an essential addition (or starting point) to the Lego City collection. The fact that it's such an inexpensive set is the icing on the cake.

My 4-year-old grandson loved this lego. He couldn't wait to get it out of the box and "follow the instructions" to complete it. The lego became part of his world when he built roads and buildings and placed the characters in the scene. He rebuilds it every time he comes to visit. A good buy.

... you need this set. You get two police officers and two criminals. All minifigures are male. I think it would have been interesting to have a female officer or criminal in this set just to change things up.
We got this set on sale but I think we probably wouldn't have purchased it otherwise. If, for some reason you've managed to grow your LEGO city without the ubiquitous police officers or criminals, this set would be a great addition for your city. However, there really isn't anything new in this set that you can't get in other sets with a better price per piece value. The dog is a cool addition if you don't have one already. There also a few different accessories that may be uncommon like the sack and the crowbar but other than that, it's not really that special
You're not missing out if you pass this up.

This purchse was a gift and I was extremely disappointed when I received it in the mail. It was sent in a padded envelop which offered no support for the box inside was smashed and it looks like I bought this at a yard sale used.

My son loves all the Lego police sets and really loves the money pieces so he was thrilled to get a set with two one hundred dollar pieces!
