Fantastic. My 4 year old and 6 year old both love these sets and this truck! Once built, very durable. There are little pieces that could be lost, but if taken apart, can be just put back into container to hold the pieces again. Lego is very durable, and fun. They have built and re-built the truck many times and still have as much fun as the first time. Great for pretend play. Of course, as with all lego, works with other sets.

Excellent Creator Mini-Dumper set 5865. I really like these mini-Creator sets in the plastic boxes, and this is one of the best. The dump truck measures 2 7/8" long by 1 1/2" wide by 1 1/2" high -- a bit larger than a matchbox or hot wheels car -- and definitely looks cool!
The dumper bed really tips, a big plus in my four-year-old son's opinion. The models are sturdy enough for a (relatively gentle) four-year-old's play, and we've built this set happily quite a few times. The age range for independent build is 6 to 12.
I love the Creator sets for two reasons: 1) they provide instructions for three models, and 2) they avoid parts made specially for the set, meaning all of the parts are useful for your own creations. These mini sets are low-cost ways to engage a child at a restaurant, at home, or on the go. I think this dump truck is one of the better-looking of the Creator mini series, and the alternative models are good also. Recommended.
