This is a wonderful set. For only $20 this was an well put together set and well worth the money. Not only is this a quick build but compared to the other sets that I recently purchased (Super Star Destroyer, London Tower Bridge) my children where actually able to play with it after it was built. Please keep in mind that my kids are 6 and 3 so their enjoyment comes from simplicity and this set is it.
I was amazed at the detail that went into the trash dump, both into the truck and then out of the truck.
Lets cover some of the pros and cons.
On the positive side,
There are 2 minifugres (which for $20 is pretty good
The mechanics are great and simple which means no complex buildind design
Finish in 10 minutes with hours of playablility
The only con that i had is that the hing that holds the actual trash holder can be a little loose and the truck comes apart fairly easy. This was a simple resolve by lining up the hing with the back part then unfold the hinge and put some good pressure on it and it holds much better (or you could always use the old faithful glue and it will hold nicely.
Bottom line, for $20 you can not go wrong especially if you are building your own city lay-out (yeah it will not go well if you have a Star Wars layout).

Pretty cool Lego, takes a few minutes to build, super easy. Its a different design and definitely different than the old Lego garbage trucks. It has a cool design. For $20 its a solid buy for your little Lego city or just for fun to build.

The Lego engineers had fun designing this one. The attention to detail is excellent. There are three moving parts that give this set a sense of reality. First the complete back lifts up to dump out the trash. Second,the back end also lifts like a real back loader trash truck. And finally, the Trash Can dumps by a small wheel that flips the trash can. All three move seamlessly.
There are also many accessories including two Trash Cans, 2 fish, 1 banana, little recyclable "cans," a broom and a shovel. Plus 2 mini figures.
I would also say it is medium as far as difficulty to build. It looks great once it is complete.
Would recommend.

this is a lot smaller then i thought it would be. It has two mini figures. It comes with 2 garbage cans and some garbage. The area that holds the garbage dumps. Comes with a shovel and brush. You can put the garbage cans on this little thing and spin the wheel on the side. then it dumps the things in the garbage can in the truck. it does not work very well and is not very fun to play with. if you just want something to put on a shelf and look at, this is probably a good thing for that.

I bought this for my two and a half year old son.
This set is well made and very cool. It has fun features like the tipping/dumping rear end and a knob that will launch the trash from the cans into the truck. These are easy enough for a two year old to operate. It is nice that it comes with two people since my son did not have any other trash people. It is also nice that one is female since Lego does not have nearly as many women in their sets as they have men.
The construction on this is very sturdy. This is not always the case with Lego (some Harry Potter sets fall apart especially easily). My son does not typically break anything off of the truck during play unless he intends to.
Other points:
-There are plenty of trash pieces (banana, studs and two fish), two cans, and two lids.
-Cool new green color. It is not lime green or normal green. Very bright.
