Great Tummy Time ToyApr 29, 2011
By loadsoftrouble My son loves this tummy time mat. My 5 month old (true gestational age 4 months) really really dispizes tummy time. He had hardlly rolled over and was behind because he cried every time I tried to give him time on his tummy. After two weeks with this toy he has really developed his muscles and is rolling over and lifting up onto his elbows and knees! He laughs and smiles at him self in the mirror which by the way is a awesome mirror. It is nice and cleat and not distorted like some other baby mirrors and it's the right Hightower for the tummy prop that comes with mat. The tummy prop is firm but still very flexible and comfortable for baby. My son wiggles off of it accsionally but he lands on the plush mat so no big deal! The two toys are awesome! The corn is a crinkle toy and the tractor is a nice gummy teether! My son enjoys both! With his mat I get about 15 minutes of tummy time! No complaints both my son and I love it. The theme is cute and very gender neutral!

Mostly a great play matOct 24, 2011
By Tara Exline OK - so my daughter HATES tummy time - she's 4.5 months old, but gestationally 3.5 months. This mat definitely caught her attention, and held it, for about 10 minutes the first time we used it. She's averaging about 10 minutes a day on this mat. Any longer and she becomes as fussy as she always did on other mats/blankets/rugs etc during tummy time. But here are a few things that I really loved about the mat: 1) Colors are great, very vibrant. 2) the blanket is soft. 3) the air frame that helps to lift baby up is a great feature -- the plus for this is that other mats that come with a pillow, the pillow is just too soft and doesn't support the baby. This frame absolutely helps my daughter to support herself, look around, etc. 4) the attached toys are ok, nothing spectacular. The things I do not like about this mat are probably not that big a deal, but still: 1) It is VERY small - no bigger than a bath towel. I think this would have been better to have been a large square, not a small rectangle. But then again, the size of this makes it great for traveling or visiting. 2) I wish the toys were detachable. 3) the mirror is kind of dinky. All in all, I'm satisfied with this product. It does what it says it will, which is to help support baby better during tummy time. I would definitely recommend this item, and will continue to use it.
NO. had to buy another matFeb 02, 2012
By mkj 1. The mat has two or three layers that are not sewed together. The baby can easily grab the upper layer and bunch the whole mat up. Then he cannot move anymore, the toys get covered, the floor comes out... eh. not again. Fabric is cheap, design is poor (no contrast, no contours). 2. The mesh - it seems the baby is better without it. The frame is hard and therefore not safe. 3. The mirror - will do.
1 star, because I had to buy another mat. Cheers.
What's to like?Jan 20, 2012
By Rebeca Galisteo I am very disapointed on this product. After all the good reviews I was expecting something that would actually encourage my 6 weeks old baby stay on her tummy for a few minutes. She hates tummy time and this mat makes it even worse. We have hardwood floors so the mat, that is as thin as a baby blanket, slides tangled on her feet when she tries to push her self up the net, making it impossible to make any progress. Some reviewers say that they like the extra hooks to hang their own toys, but this is only possible if your toys have an openning because the hooks are sawed closed, not with a belcro.
Great Giggling Girls!Nov 03, 2011
By 2kidsandadog This Tummy Time product has brought so many giggles and squeals from my 4 month old daughter - she loves the images of the animals and the crinkly corn toy (attached to the bolster). My 2 year old daughter also likes it - she shows her sister the toys, and tells her what the animals on the mat are and what they say - we've also worked on colors with my 2 year old using the mat. I'm looking forward to bringing this along on a trip and having my niece, who currently *hates* tummy time, play on this. Perhaps Santa will bring one for her...I'll suggest it to him!
