Adorable, but not as great as some of the othersOct 22, 2012
By amy My daughter LOVES Lamaze toys, so many crinkles, colors, things to chew on. This little guy is adorable, but he doesn't have much to offer in terms of fun things. He doesn't squeak, crinkle, rattle, or anything. He has one chewing/teething toy and that's about it. I'd imagine once she is a bit older she will enjoy him more, but for younger babies I'd go with the Moose, Giraffe, Doll, etc.

We love Huey!Jan 20, 2013
By Erin M Carter This little hedgehog is the third of three Lamaze toys we have for our baby (Captain Kalamari and Freddy the Firefly are the first two). We hang them all from his playmat. Our baby started taking notice of the first two toys around 6 weeks old, and around 2 months old he started to grab onto them and yank on their rings. He loved this!! Our baby was about 2.5 months when we got Huey the Hedghog. Huey doesn't have rings, but he does have wonderful colors and textures, and he makes a great krinkly noise when you squeeze him. My baby LOVES to stare at Huey and touch him now that he has more hand control. I recommend getting at least two Lamaze toys: one that has rings (like the kalamari or firefly) when your baby is a little younger, and then introducing Huey when your baby can grab and hold things. These toys have been very worthwhile purchases for us!

Very cute :)Apr 12, 2012
By Tarnz Very cute, but my little one is only 6 weeks to fully appreciate it yet. Lovely colours and textures with lots to grab so I'm sure it'll be a hit :)
He Grew Into ItJun 10, 2013
By tlatoani Bought this for my son when he was 3 months old. This may have been a bit premature, but he's my first kid so I'm eager to play with him, plus it was just so darn cute. When we first got it for him it was too heavy for him to pick up, so we hung it from his car seat. He didn't seem too interested in it. I loved the dotted bottom, which is supposed to be a newborn attention grabber. I actually liked this one because it didn't have a bunch of toys dangling off of it(like the Lamaze Zebra we also bought for him), but rather had more of a textural stimulation. The feet and every other stripe crinkle. Half of the stripes are satin, the other half are a textured cloth. The quills are satin ribbon and felt. He is know 9 months and like most kids will play with anything that's not a toy before a toy that we actually spent money on(lol a pop bottle or an empty box beats an awesome toy anyday), but of all his actual toys this is one he tends to spend more time with-he loves making it crinkle.
Super cuteMay 14, 2013
By Dustin Five month old is learning to crinkle and squish toy to make sounds. Had to cut off the dangly leaf so it wouldn't knock him in the face when hanging from car seat
