5AwesomeMay 10, 2011

This ferris wheel performs like instructions state.(It does click a couple times before it gets going good.)If the parts are not going together correctly, you maybe missing a step or using a wrong connector. The colors can be a little hard to match. when using the correct parts it fits together perfectly. Had to learn by mistake
You have to follow the directions per the steps given or you will run into problems.I had to go to the pdf file on the internet to see the build closer. This build is much more simple than the cobra's curse dueling coaster. It did overwhelm my 11 year old grandson, but after watching me he was able to take over. This is an awesome project for adult child bonding. This was a Grandma and grandson build. We have built the Cobra curse and the light up Ferris wheel next we are going to build the Octopus Whirl. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PRODUCT.

4K'NEX Ferris WheelFeb 28, 2011
By Clark L. Shindel
I saw this toy on the discovery channel as one of the few American Made toys successfully competing with the Chinese. Was surprised to see 'Made in China' stamped on the motor, but guess we can't get away from imports completely and am not disappointed in toy because of it. The ferris wheel was easy to construct, directions (color coding) easy to follow. I did have a need to 'jerry rig' the wheel itself to get it aligned properly (some wire to 'stretch out' a little and keep wheel from warping and leaning to the side). All added to fun of building. My only complaint is that motor and color wheel difficult to turn on (too buried in construction) which also makes it very very difficult to change the batteries. Engineering of battery compartments not well thought out in this respect and make maintence/change a great chore, unless of course, the intent was to dis-assemble every time new batteries are required.

5Have fun lighted and turningJun 24, 2011
By Melvin Anderson "author Diabetes? What's That?"
I have trouble holding small slippery parts even when I know they are going to spin out of my hands, It helps to have a carpet that collects and holds these parts. as well as having a contrasting color. I had no trouble with this construction, despite my fears before I started. Just looking at the instructions made it seem daunting but the actual construction was a joy and turned simple, the deeper I got into the construction. I have one complaint, the motor is easy to turn on, the light is harder but possible but changing the light action without deconstructing the gears is impossible for me. still, the deconstruction is easy and does not take long., and the reconstruction is a snap. Everything else is fun and a breeze. If the other sets turn out to be so much fun, I am in for a very good time!

3Knex light up ferris wheelSep 27, 2011
By J. Paige
I got this mainly because of the light up feature. Have built alot of K'nex and this was fairly easy but finished is bigger than what I imagined. Only drawback is the that the motor is quite loud which prevents one from having it on for a long period. Really wish that they made quieter motors. May be looking for a replacement. Light show is very nice.
