Bought the Hexbug Habitat for my 6 year old son for Christmas and he loved it. We bought the straight track set to allow him to expand his habitat and he is able to connect and disconnect the track no problem. The pieces seem very durable.

My kids have used these to build all sorts of elaborate courses for their nano bugs. They haven't lost interest yet, and having the different parts instead of a regular set lets them use their imagination to build pretty much anything.
