Sadly I have to agree that the larva doesn't meet the standards of the other hexbug products. The battery in ours died an hour after we received it, prompting a complete meltdown.

This Larva was delivered with the switch in the 'on' position and the battery was dead. This item appears to be used and sold as new.

These are cute; however the battery life is horrible!!! My son got two for his birthday and the one the batteries already in one of them where bad. The other one the batteries died within a few hours.

Our family (3 - 13 year olds) love the Hexbug universe. We have 30+ bugs, tracks, habitats, etc. But this larva is a HUGE disappointment. First off, it is like the big hexbugs and won't fit on the tracks...wish that were in the description. the Price of $24.95 is WAY OFF ($11.99 at Target) and three. Only runs for about 30 minutes on new batteries and dies. Horrible product and is being returned to vendor today.

I bought the hexbug larva for my 7 year old son. We have several other hexbugs. We think the larva is one of the best, it really goes fast & it is just fun! The crab is sort of slow,,the ant is another great one. But his favorite so far has been the larva!
