2Solid construction, mediocre paint job and designOct 11, 2010
By Catherine
I have been a little disappointed with this shape sorter. I spent countless hours trying to find a good solid wood sorter and ended up deciding on this one. When we received it, we really liked the design and solid construction. However, when my son started banging one of the shapes on the sorter/base, the paint from the shape started staining the light wood color of the sorter. Hmm, granted he was hitting it kind of hard, but you would expect a 1 year old to do that, right? Anyway, seems like someone should have tested the paint quality. My other complaint about this toy is that a lot of the shapes fit through the hole for the circle (plus the both the square and rectangle fit in each others holes) and that defeats the point of a shaper sorter. You cannot learn the correct shape to use with this design...
