Flynn the hero fire engine!Dec 11, 2011

Flynn has most recently appeared in the Thomas movie Day of the Diesels. They need a fire rescue engine and Belle says they need to get Flynn because he's fast and he's a hero. Flynn arrives on Sodor and when being unloaded says, "What is your name?" Cranky the crane replies, "Cranky." Flynn looks at Cranky's cranky expression, laughs, and says, "That's funny!" He is a brave, confident engine and brings something new to Sodor.
We have the TrackMaster set where Cranky and Flynn are motorized, and in that set Flynn is one piece. So when we got this, I was happy to see that Flynn is two pieces as he is in the Thomas TV and movies.
He is basically made of wood with some plastic pieces. Note that the back unit only has two wheels, so has to be connected to stand up right.
Flynn is great - my 3 year old loves running him around putting out fires and generally saving the day.

Flynn the fire engine is one of the best Thomas Wooden toys there is. My little boy gets super excited every time he sees this red engine racing to fight fires. Very durable and will last for many years and will be handed down to younger brothers.

This is another great Thomas wooden train. My boys are big time into Thomas trains and this one is no exception. They enjoy putting out "fires" along their track.

There isn't much to complain about with Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway toys. They are adorable, durable and provide hours and hours of imaginitive play for children of all ages.
